HYDERABAD, Jan 19: The Sindh High Court, Hyderabad circuit bench, on Monday issued notices to two police officials to comment on a constitutional petition, seeking impartial investigation in a matter which has been fixed for Jan 26.

The notices were issued to the SHO and in charge investigation of police station A-section, Latifabad, on a constitutional petition filed by Nisar Ahmed Ansari.

Mr Ansari claimed that he went to Karachi on Aug 5, 2003, leaving behind his daughter, Hajra, and grandson, Abdul Rehman, 5. He said when he returned on Aug 8, he found his daughter and grandson missing. He said articles were scattered and Rs30,000, gold ornaments and clothes were taken away.

The petitioner said he came to know that Haneef, a resident of Eidgah ground Unit-8 with co-accused, Yaqoob, Aijaz, Rashid, Rubi and Nazia had abducted daughter and minor grandson.

Haneef was called at the police station where he had admitted that he was holding the woman and boy and promised to return them provided no case was registered against him.
