KARACHI, Jan 18: Bandits either hijacked or stole 82-vehicles - 34 cars and 48 motorcycles - during the past one week in the various parts of the city.

According to police statistics, 19 cars were taken away at gunpoint by bandits and 15 were stolen in North Nazimabad, Gulistan-i-Jauhar, F.B. Area, Clifton, Defence, Saddar, Lyari and Ferozabad.

Fifteen motorcycles were hijacked and 33 stolen from F.B. Area, North Karachi, Clifton, Lyari, Zaman Town and other areas. Police also claimed to have recovered 57 stolen cars and motorcycles during the past week from different parts of the city.
