MANSEHRA, Jan 15: Bherkund Union Council Nazim Mohammad Asif Khan has survived an attempt on his life on Thursday. Police said that Mr Khan had lodged an FIR stating that two armed men riding a motorcycle tried to kill him when he was going to Mansehra in his car. He was accompanied by Badruz Zaman, Bakhtiar and Phool Zeb.

He had stated that they when reached near Hamserian two men - Iqbal and Yousaf - riding a motorcycle tried to stop them and opened fire with a klashnikov. A bullet hit his driver, Fazal-i- Elahi, in his arm, whereas the others ran for shelter towards the nearby fields. Mr Khan has lodged an FIR against his cousin Athar Iqbal, Yousaf, Iqbal and Saeed Khan.
