HYDERABAD, Jan 15: The three-day centenary celebrations of the late G. M. Syed, the founder of the Jeay Sindh Movement, began in Sann on Thursday. Syed Amir Haider Shah, the eldest son of the Syed, Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah and Syed Zain Shah, led a procession and laid a floral wreath on his shrine.

Later, they inaugurated a fair. Jeay Sindh Mahaz-Z vice-chairman Agha Qamar Mashwani, Nazims and councillors of various union councils and political activists were present on the occasion.

A Meena Bazaar was also inaugurated by Mehmood Shah. Stalls of various items were set up at the fair. A large number of women turned up at the fair. Meanwhile, in a statement issued here on Thursday, Haider Shah deplored the allegations levelled by Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz chairman Bashir Qureshi against the Syed family.
