PESHAWAR, Jan 9: The Joint Action Committee of lawyers will launch the second phase of its long march on Monday from the Peshawar High Court.

The long march is part of the protest campaign against the LFO and other "illegal" steps taken by the military government. During the first phase of the march, the joint action committee members had travelled from Lahore to Islamabad.

The representatives of lawyers from across the country would reach Peshawar on Jan 11 (Sunday). A meeting of Joint Action Committee will be held at 5.00 p.m. on Jan 11 at the high court.

The meeting would be followed by a press briefing in the evening. On Monday at 9am a vehicular procession of lawyers would leave the high court for Islamabad. The lawyers will address different bar associations and attend receptions en route to Islamabad.
