MIRPURKHAS, Jan 1: The District Development Working Party has approved four schemes of Rs89.988 million under the annual development programme and six schemes of Rs7.477 million under MPAs development programme.

The meeting of the DDWP was held on Wednesday and presided over by DCO Mohammad Siddique Memon.

The DCO told the meeting that under annual development programme, the boundary wall of the Jinnah Sports at the Pak colony ground would be constructed with a cost of Rs1.092 millions, while construction and renovation of a pavilion and boundary wall of the New Shama ground would be carried out with Rs6.56 million and Rs2 million would be spent on the construction of water tank in Shev Lal village in union council Kherao.

He said that six schemes of Rs7.477 million given by Sindh chief minister, MPAs Nuzhat Pathan, Sakina Bano, Mir Mehboob Talpur and Mukesh Kumar would be completed at different places in the district.

The DCO said that drainage and water supply schemes, including schemes of annual development programme, Khushhal Pakistan Programme and governor's directives had been handed over to the Taluka municipal administration. The meeting also approved Rs1 million as grant to setup dialyses centre at the civil hospital Mirpurkhas.

DIALYSIS CENTRE: District Nazim Pir Shafqat Hussain Shah Jillani has said a dialysis centre will be established at the old chest ward of the civil hospital by the Anjuman Falah Behbood Insaniyat. Presiding over a meeting of the association's executive committee on Monday, he said the district government would also provide Rs1 million for the project.

The association secretary, Dr Iqbal Memon, and treasurer Dr Ghazi Khan said the Noor Foundation, UK, and philanthropists had also provided help to the organization to establish the centre.
