KARACHI, May 16: The Karachi Electric Supply Corporation has finalized arrangements to ensure uninterrupted power supply during Rabi-ul-Awwal.

Consumers, however, have been advised to exercise austerity in the use of power and avoid illegal connections for illumination to minimize the chances of power breakdown especially in areas where KESC systems are saturated and vulnerable to breakdowns.

In this regard a meeting of the KESC city coordination committee was held here on Thursday at the KESC head office chaired by Chief Engineer Jamil Gul Shaikh.

The meeting was attended by Maulana Muhammad Hanif, Dy Chief Engineer Anis Qureshi, Zonal Manager A.H. Purchase and operation Engineer Mustajab.

It was decided that the arrangements on the pattern of last year will be made for continuity of power supply and feeder priority will be given to congested areas like Kharadar, Mithadar, Arambagh, Nishtar Road and old town where big Eid Milad-un-Nabi mehfils will be held.—APP
