KARACHI: SBTE exam results

KARACHI, May 15: The Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) on Wednesday, announced the results of Diploma of Associate Engineer, third-year (morning) annual examinations 2001, with an over all pass percentage of 58.89.

According to SBTE notifications, 2,686 candidates from 26 technical institutes, including 15 that of Karachi, appeared in the examinations, while 1,582 candidates were declared pass.

A maximum pass percentage — 94.28 — was recorded in the Chemical Technology examinations, in which 35 candidates from the Govt College of Technology, SITE, had appeared. The minimum pass percentage (38.46) was recorded in the Petroleum Technology examinations of the Govt Polytechnic Institute, Badin.

400 candidates appeared in examinations from the Govt College of Technology, SITE, while the Fahimun Nisa Memorial Aligarh Institute of Technology and St. Patrick’s Technical School sent up the minimum number of candidates —11 each — for the Garment and Electrical Technologies examinations.

600 candidates appeared in Electrical Technology examinations, followed by 532 in the Mechanical Technology and 432 in the Electronic Technology.

The minimum number of two candidates appeared in the Glass and Ceramics Technology examinations from the Govt College of Technology, Hyderabad. Results of 71 candidates were withheld.
