KARACHI, May 15: Sindh Minister for Finance, Planning and Development Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh presided over a meeting to consider handing over of the Government Saifee College of Technology, North Nazimabad, back to the Saifee Golden Jubilee Educational Trust, a handout said on Wednesday.

Provincial Minister for Education Anita Ghulam Ali, Secretary Education Nazar Hussain Mehar, Secretary Finance Fazlur Rehman, EDO (Education), Karachi, Prof Raees Alvi and Rizwan Qamar, Kumel Yunus and Mustansar from the Saifee Trust were also present.

The meeting reviewed the changes made in the MoU for handing over the college to the trust and accorded its approval.

The trust will construct a building in Federal B. Area on a government land in which the existing college will be shifted and thereafter the present building structure will be handed over to the trust. This transaction is expected to be completed in eleven months.

The finance minister asked the education department to expedite compilation of requisite documents in this regard.—PPI
