QUETTA, May 14: Border security authorities have arrested and deported 122 Afghans who crossed into Pakistan illegally in Chaghai district on Tuesday, official sources said.

“The Afghans entered into Pakistani area from different points in Chaghai district without legal travelling documents,” a border security official said.

After crossing into Pakistan they were coming to Quetta in passenger buses, which were checked by border security personnel at checkpoints on the ECO Highway. “We have pushed them back to Afghanistan after taking them into custody,” sources said and added that security arrangements were tightened along the border.
