KARACHI: Letter-writing competition

KARACHI, Jan 26: The Pakistan Post has organised a letter writing competition for young students with cash prizes for the winners.

Students who are not more than 15 years are eligible to participate in the competition. The participants are required to write a letter in Urdu or English to anyone, explaining how decent working conditions can lead to a better life.

The letters duly verified by their respective school heads should reach Assistant Director (International Post), Pakistan Post Directorate General, Islamabad, by March 1. The students have been advised to mark envelopes as ‘International Letter Writing Competition 2009’ before dispatching the letters.

According to an announcement, the top three winners will get cash prizes of Rs10,000, Rs7,500 and Rs5,000, respectively. Besides, the best letter will be sent to the Universal Postal Union.—APP
