Three youths suffocated by gas

QUETTA, Jan 25: Three youths were suffocated by gas leaking from a heater in Hana Valley, about 20 kilometres from here, on Sunday.

A nephew of the provincial Finance Minister Mir Asim Kurd is said to be among the dead.

According to police, five youths had gone to the valley for camping but they went to sleep in their tent without switching off the gas heater.

Local people contacted police when no one came out of the tent till noon. Police found the five youths unconscious. They were taken to the Civil Hospital where Abdul Ghafar, Hamid and Zeeshan Kurd died. Saifullah and Gulzar are getting treatment at the hospital.—Staff Correspondent
