KARACHI: Wanted outlaw arrested

KARACHI, Jan 23: The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) arrested a wanted outlaw from the interior of Sindh in Ferozabad on Friday. The accused, Abid Shah, was wanted in connection with murders, kidnappings for ransom and numerous highway robberies. The home department had earlier announced a reward of Rs300,000 for information leading to his arrest.

The Police recovered a triple-two rifle from Mr Shah’s possession when he was arrested.

The accused will be produced in court on Saturday for his remand. Later the police from the interior of Sindh, where Mr Shah is wanted, will likely take physical custody of him, according to SP (SIU) Gul Hameed Samoo. —Staff Reporter
