MITHI, Jan 12: The Pakistan People’s Party, Tharparkar chapter, has urged the Sindh chief minister to order a probe into alleged violation of rules and regulations in the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Youth Development Programme and take measures for its success.

In a statement issued by the Information Secretary, PPP Media Cell, Chandar Sharma alleged gross violations of merit rules by vested interests in the list of candidates selected for IT programme and exclusion of names of numerous talented and deserving Thari candidates with the names of favourite listed who did not even appear for the interview.

Neither a computer instructor nor an accommodation for IT centre at Mithi was available despite it being shown functional on record, he said. He feared that most probably it might not prove beneficial to Thari youths.

Chandar Sharma demanded a thorough probe into the matter.

Our Hyderabad bureau adds: Bureaucracy is trying to sabotage the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Youth Development Programme of the government for unemployed youth.

Sindh People’s Youth leader Ahsan Abro said this while talking to Youth Wing leaders of Thatta, Dadu, Badin and Matiari here on Sunday.
