Published January 12, 2009

LAHORE, Jan 11: All arrangements have been finalised to administer anti-polio vaccination to children up to five years of age during the three-day drive starting in 17 districts of Punjab from Jan 12 (today).

According to a health department spokesman, the anti-polio campaign would be launched after every two months during the current year so that complete eradication of the disease could be ensured.

“At present the campaign is being launched in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha and Faisalabad divisions,” he said.

He appealed to the parents to cooperate with polio teams and ensure vaccination to their children.—APP
