Ali bowls Zone-II Blues to win

KARACHI, Jan 2: Off-spinner Ali Nasir captured five wickets to help Zone-II Blues record a four-wicket win over Zone-I Blues in the KCCA Inter-zonal Under-19 cricket tournament at the TMC Ground on Thursday.

Ali claimed five wickets for 46 as Zone-I Blues were bowled out for 138 in 42.4 overs. Asim Khan made an unbeaten 56. Zone-II Blues, in reply, reached the target in 30.4 overs for the loss of six wickets. Hamza Naqvi hit a match-winning 62. Ali Nasir made 22.

In another match played at the Student Ground, Abbas Jafri scored 74 and Habib Qureshi picked five wickets for 17 to guide their team Zone-III Whites to a massive 156-run win over Zone-I Greens. Tauseef Khan and Sikandar Khan also scored half-centuries for the winners.
