SANGHAR, Oct 25: No relative or friend came to claim the bodies of six dacoits who were gunned down by police on Wednesday.
On Thursday the bodies were handed over to Edhi volunteers who buried the five at Eidgah graveyard and one who was a, Hindu and was recognized as Tamachi Kolhi, was buried at an Hindu’s graveyard.
Earlier Namaz-e-Janaza was offered for the slain kidnapee Ghaffar, who was killed by the dacoits during the encounter, at municipal graveyard and then the body was dispatched to Hyderabad.
The deceased was an employee of Seth Dawood at Hyderabad and had come to Sinjhoro on the fateful day to collect cash and was kidnapped alongwith Seth Krishan Mal.
Sinjhoro police have registered an FIR of four murders against the six dacoits and their accomplices.
ROBBED: Three robbers broke into the house of Abdul Rasheed alias Chunno, an ex-employee of SRTC and deprived him of Rs17,000 cash, gold ornaments and other valuables in broad day light at Imam Bargah para on Thursday. Police were unaware of the incident.
In another incident the thieves broke the ceiling of a shop of Jamil fauji on head Jamrao road and took away articles worth more than Rs25,000 from his shop and fled.
