QUETTA, Dec 31: The executive health officer of Dera Bugti district was injured in an attack in Sui on Wednesday.

Dr Mohammad Hussain Bugti was going from Sui to Dera Bugti.

According to police, his car came under fire near Mat area. Dr Bugti was injured and taken to the Sui hospital where he was said to be improving.

After the attack, security forces cordoned off the area to look for the assailants, but no arrests were made.

On Tuesday night, armed men kidnapped three Bugti tribesmen from the Khatan area in the same district.

Police said that Alu Bugti, Jetoi Bugti and Pandhi Bugti, who belonged to the Haijwani clan, were returning to their village from the field when they were attacked.
