Wedding guests kill two bandits

SHEIKHUPURA, Dec 27: Two bandits were shot dead by as many guests during a

dacoity bid in a marriage ceremony in Thathi Bhattian village in the limits of Sharaqpur police station late on Friday night.

Reports said guests and relatives of Salamat were present in the marriage of his daughter when dacoits came there and started looting them. Two guests, having weapons, reacted quickly and shot dead the dacoits on the spot.

Sharaqpur sub-inspector Sharif said the dead dacoits were identified as Tariq and Azam of a nearby Bandrian village.

He claimed that the dacoits were wanted in a number of highway robberies by Nankana and Sheikhupura police.

Police have started investigation.
