Four killed, three injured in attacks

SUKKUR, Dec 27: The ongoing dispute between Jatoi and Mirani clansmen claimed four lives and left three injured in the katcha area of Saeedabad near here on Saturday.

Mazhar Ali Jatoi, resident of Saeedabad was going to Rohri on a motorcycle. When he reached near Sukur central jail-I, a group of armed people shot him dead.

On receiving information about the killing of Mazhar, a group of armed people believed to be Jatoi clansmen riding motorcycles raided the katcha area of Saeedabad and opened indiscriminate fire.

As a result, Rab Dino Mirani, Anwar Mirani and Qamar Mirani died on the spot and Qasim Mirani, Sohno and an unidentified received injuries.

A heavy contingent of the Airport police rushed to the scene and cordoned the troubled area, besides establishing check posts to prevent further bloodshed.

The police took the bodies and the injured to Civil Hospital Sukkur. Police sources claimed that situation was under control. However, no one was arrested till the filing of this report.
