Students hold rally against India

ISLAMABAD, Dec 25: Scores of students from various universities in a rally held here in the Capital Park on Thursday expressed their support to the government in prevailing tension between Pakistan and India.

The protestors were carrying Pakistani flags and banners inscribed with slogans “Don’t force us to boot you”, “We will live and die for Pakistan”, “Pakistan is not a playground” and “Stop cheating on us”.

The students also painted their faces with green colour, colour of the national flag, while some girl students were wearing green and white dress.

Both countries are involved in tense diplomatic row after the Mumbai attacks. India pointed its finger at Pakistan immediately after the attacks.

Speaking at the rally, Athar Minallah, spokesperson for the deposed chief justice, said students were in the vanguard in the movement for the restoration of the deposed judges.
