KARACHI, Dec 24: Defending-champions Shahzad Mohammadan edged past District West champions Ghani XI 1-0 and Karachi Kickers beat Hazara Mohammadan 2-1 in the KASB Premier League Football (PLF) matches played at the CDGK Stadium on Tuesday.

The lone goal and decider in the Shahzad Mohammadan and Ghani XI encounter was scored by the winning team’s striker Mohammad Baloch from a tricky angle inside the box in the 44th minute.

Even though Hazara got ahead first through their striker Kashif Baloch in the 72nd minute, Karachi Kickers came back from behind to win the other match.

The 73rd minute saw stopper Mohammad Tahir deflecting a powerful kick from midfielder Mohammad Khan to equalise for Karachi Kickers.

The decider came in the 90th minute through midfielder Faisal Madani just when Hazara’s goalkeeper Mohammad Shahzad was beginning to relax thinking that the match would end in a draw.

Both winning outfits have booked a place for themselves in the playoffs. Shahzad Mohammadan have 23 points and Karachi Kickers 22. Meanwhile, Ghani XI are already there with 24 points.
