HYDERABAD, Dec 24: A hoax bomb call caused panic and harassment at the Standard Chartered Bank branch, off Autobahn Road here on Wednesday, police said.
Reports said that an anonymous caller informed a bank official that a bomb was planted in the branch after which Madmadgar was informed. The branch was situated next to a franchised food outlet.
Police and Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) rushed to the spot and conducted a search for about an hour but failed to unveil any such thing. Police cordoned the area off during the search and later the BDS officials declared the place clear of everything.
