Three killed in road accidents

RAWALPINDI, Dec 24: A six-year-old girl was killed after being run over by a jeep on Islamabad Highway, while a woman and her daughter died in a road accident in Jatli, police said on Wednesday.

Sania was killed after being run over by a jeep on Islamabad Highway on Wednesday night. She was crossing the road along with her mother, when the girl left her hand and ran towards the road where she was hit by the jeep.

The injured girl was shifted to Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital where the doctors pronounced her dead.

In another incident a woman and her daughter were killed after being run over by a truck in the jurisdiction of Jatli police.

Ms Rehana along with her daughter, Jiya Bibi, was traveling on a motorcycle with a relative when they were hit by a truck. Rehana and her daughter died on the spot. The truck driver managed to escape from the scene.

Meanwhile, Margalla police have found a ‘human leg’ from the green area on Wednesday.

A passer-by spotted the leg lying in the green area and informed the local police.

The police reached the spot and shifted it to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims).

Nothing else was found from the scene which could lead the police to trace the remaining parts of the body and find the clue to his family and killers.
