PESHAWAR, Oct 25: Former president of Afghanistan Prof Sibghatullah Mujaddedi has urged the ruling Taliban and the US- led coalition to show mercy towards the innocent Afghan people and bring an end to the war.

In a statement here on Thursday from Hamburg, Germany, the former president and leader of Afghanistan National Liberation Front proposed that Osama bin Laden should be handed over for trial to the International Court of Justice or to a group of Muslim countries chosen by the Organization of Islamic Conference and in return the strikes on Afghanistan must be stopped immediately.
