LAHORE, Dec 20: Pakistan Muslim League (Q) leader Pervaiz Elahi has said coalition partners are declaring Pakistan a failed state in a bid to cover up their failures.

Speaking at a Christmas ceremony at the Muslim League House here on Saturday, he said Pakistan was not a failed state.

He said those who had held the office of prime minister twice (an obvious reference to Nawaz Sharif) should keep it in mind while declaring Pakistan a failed state that their brother was ruling 65 per cent population of the country. “They should not describe Pakistan a failed state to cover up their failure.”

He said the PML-Q had not only given representation to minorities in the assemblies during its tenure but also created a separate ministry for minorities in Punjab. It would reserve seats for minorities in senate and allocate quota for them in jobs.
