ATTOCK, Dec 19: A missing boy was found murdered in Injra, police said on Friday.

Maula Bukhsh had reported to the Injra police that his nephew, Irshad Mehmood, went along with his friend Najam in his car a few days ago but did not return.

Irshad’s body was found on Thursday in his vehicle abandoned near a high school, while there was no sign of his friend.

The complainant expressed suspicion that his nephew was killed by his friend for unknown reasons. The police registered a murder case against the accused and were investigating the incident.

DEATH SENTENCE: The additional district and sessions judge awarded death sentence to Ghulam Faird for killing a man from his own village two years ago, while two co-accused were acquitted of the murder charges. A fine of Rs200,000 was also imposed on Farid.

The Pindigheb police registered a murder case against the three accused, including two women, after Mehboob Khan was killed on July 8, 2006.
