RAWALPINDI, Dec 19: A tehsil municipal officer (TMO) and two inspectors were booked by the Civil Lines police on charges of ‘illegally’ removing a kiosk and stealing stationery and other general items.

The kiosk, located on the premises of Excise and Taxation Office, was owned by Qasir Javaid who knocked the doors of the court to get his case registered against the district government officials.

Qasir Javaid said in his complaint that a TMA team led by TMO Irfan Saleem and assisted by two inspectors, Mushtaq Khokhar and Ghazanfarullah, came to his kiosk and uprooted it without any justification.

He alleged that the TMO and his subordinates also took away stationery items and other valuables.
