GILGIT, Oct 25: The Gilgit police have arrested three Iraqi nationals and a Tajik at the border town of Sost, some 200 kilometres from Gilgit, police officials told Dawn on Thursday.

The Iraqi nationals are: Younus, son of Jabbar; Hasan, son of Kazim; and Idrees, son of Abu Mohammad. They were arrested on Sept 27 while trying to enter China through Pakistan border.

The Gilgit police have also arrested a Tajik national on the same charge. Police officials told Dawn that the foreigners were in Sost for not possessing the valid travel documents.
