RAWALPINDI, Dec 17: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Rawalpindi on Wednesday chalked out comprehensive plan to observe the death anniversary of former prime minister and the party’s chairperson, Benazir Bhutto, in a befitting manner.

The programme was chalked out in a meeting held here under the chairmanship of PPP’s Central Executive Committee member Sultan Mehmood Qazi. The meeting was attended by Rashid Mir, Nasir Mir, Banaras Chaudhry, Khuram Rasool and other senior local party leaders.

The meeting decided that the party would arrange a host of functions including Quran Khawani on the occasion.

According to the programme, a seminar titled ‘Daughter of the East’ will be held on December 23 at a marriage hall at Satellite Town, People’s Trader Cell will hold public meeting in the city, PSF will arrange a rally at Liaquat Bagh, PPP Rawalpindi City will bring out a rally from Rawalpindi-Islamabad Press Club to Liaquat Bagh on December 26 and a blood bank will be established in front of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Hospital on December 26.

Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Zaheeruddin Babar Awan, Federal Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and PPP Central Executive Committee Member Sultan Mehmood Qazi would attend the seminar on December 23.
