PARIS, May 12: A Paris-based NGO, Medecins sans frontieres (MSF, The French Doctors) is demanding that the repatriation of the hundreds of thousands of Afghan refugees in Pakistan and Iran be postponed.

In a report in its May issue of its magazine, MSF Infos, The French Doctors said that the repatriation is premature and noted that “violent tensions that continue to exist in Afghanistan, the US bombings which persist, and the recurrent combat which once again oppose the Afghan tribal warlords do not in any way provide the guarantees necessary to the security of (returning) refugees.”
