HYDERABAD, Dec 13: Sindh Minister for Provincial Coordination Makhdoom Jamiluzzaman inaugurated a gas line project costing Rs73.4 million, which would supply gas to 16 villages of UC Bhanote, Hala.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the people’s government was committed to providing all basic facilities to the people living in backward areas.
He said that efforts were also under way to provide health and education facilities and electricity to far-flung villages. He said that the people of Bhanote had rendered tremendous sacrifices for restoration of democracy in the country.
The minister said that it was the mission of the slain chairperson of the Pakistan People’s Party, Benazir Bhutto, to resolve the problems of the poor people on priority.
He said that this mission would be accomplished.He also held an open katchehry and heard the problems of the people.
He also presided over a meeting of the party activists at Bhit Shah rest house to finalise arrangements for holding the first death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto.
Matiari district president of the party, Syed Ameer Ali Shah Hashmi, Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah, Dr Zahid and others attended the meeting.
