THATTA, Dec 13: People of Sindh should strive for the survival of the province which stands at the crossroads of destruction, said General Secretary Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz, Dr Safdar Sarki.

He was speaking at a reception hosted in his honour by activists at the local press club on Saturday.

He reminded the people to follow the philosophy of G.M. Syed, who was a great lover of Sindh.

He felt pity on the pathetic condition of the people even though the province was earning 70 per cent of the total revenue in addition to providing food grain, gas, coal and oil to the federation.

“People here are deprived of even basic amenities, what to say of those mothers who because of poverty were trading their babies”, he said.

He criticised the outsiders for working according to their whims and creating anarchy and chaos on the soil.

He said Sindh had always held in high esteem their female population but now they were being butchered for petty issues.

He felt sorry over the attitude of Balochistan government for not reciprocating to the gesture of the PPP government which made an apology to their people. He said the people of Sindh had endured atrocities since the last 60 years.

Party’s District President Mushtaq Khaskheli and Atta Mohammad Bhatti, Yar Mohammad Halani and others also spoke on the occasion.
