ISLAMABAD, Dec 7: A minor girl fell and drowned in an open drain at Fauji Colony Pirwadhai, Rawalpindi, on Sunday, police said.
The two-and-a-half-year-old girl - Laiba – suddenly disappeared when she was playing at her uncle’s house.
Her family members started searching for her but their efforts proved futile. Later, on suspicion that she may have fallen in a sewer in the house, they called Wasa officials who came with rescue workers to the house and found her in the sewer.—Staff Reporter
