PESHAWAR, Dec 6: The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has announced to reduce the duration of loadshedding from six to four fours daily in all the industrial estates of the NWFP. It has also assured uninterrupted power supply to shopping centers ahead of the forthcoming Eidul Azha.

Assurances to this effect were given by the chief executive officer of the public utility Qasim Jan, in a meeting with the local businessmen, headed by president Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Sharafat Ali Mubarik, here on Saturday, says a press release.

The businessmen told the Pesco chief about various problems they confronted due to excessive loadshedding, which had affected the industrial production.The Pesco chief executive immediately issued directives to the concerned quarters for reducing the duration of loadshedding. He also directed that no loadshedding should be carried out in business centres in the evening during Eid shopping days to facilitate shoppers.
