KARACHI, Dec 5: Four ships to load/offload containers, cement and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, three more ships carrying containers, vegetable oil and palm oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Six ships, New Delhi Express, Ibn Al-Abbar, Rose-II, Makran, Yanaseni and AI-Deerah, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, chemicals and diesel oil.

A cargo volume of 34,829 tons comprising 16,798 tons of import and 18,031 tons of export tonnage was handled. AI-Deerah, Alexi-III, Songa Crystal, New Delhi Express and Ibn Al-Abbar sailed out while Yanaseni was expected to leave the port.
