10 arrested with liquor, narcotics

ISLAMABAD, Dec 3: Islamabad police have arrested 10 accused and seized opium, bottles of liquor, 30-bore pistols and other items from their possession.

A police source said on Wednesday that Sabzi Mandi police foiled an attempt to smuggle liquor to Rawalpindi and arrested three accused near Al-Jalal bus stand and seized 61 bottles of liquor from them.

Tarnol police arrested two accused and seized 2kg opium and illicit weapons from them. Margalla police held two accused and seized 26 bottles of liquor while Golra police caught an accused with stolen items.

Shahzad Town police took a person into their custody on the charges of selling fake gold ornaments to the residents of the area. — Staff Reporter
