Published December 3, 2008

KARACHI, Dec 2: Heavy-duty electrical cables, steel valves, and items made of copper and worth millions of rupees were taken away from an oil installation in Keamari late on Monday.

Secretary of the Terminal Association of Pakistan Akhtar Sultan said initially four robbers sneaked into the facility, M/S Azlak Enterprises, at 1.30am. They held the guard at gunpoint.

Later, 10 more robbers came in, fired into the air and took away the equipment.

Mr Sultan said the Jackson police had declined to register an FIR saying that senior officers were not present.
