ATTOCK, Nov 30: An old man was killed in a hit-and-run accident, while another person was injured in a separate incident on Saturday evening, police said.

The old man, who could not be identified, was crossing the G.T. Road when he was hit by a speeding passenger bus near Attock Khurd.

Meanwhile, a man identified as Mohammad Naveed sustained injuries when he fell down from the roof of a moving passenger van near Saqabad village on Sanjwal-Attock Road.

In another incident, Ali Shah reported to the Hazro police that he was allegedly attacked by Tayyab and his father, Sarfraz, who suspected that his brother kidnapped a girl from their family.

Shah was seriously injured and was being treated at a local hospital.

ACQUITTAL: District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Tariq Abbasi has acquitted a man of murder, officials said.

The judge gave the verdict on Saturday in favour of Mohammad Imran, a resident of Faqirabad, who was arrested by the Attock Saddar police on July 18 this year.
