Schoolgirl ‘raped’

VEHARI, Nov 25: An eighth class student was raped here on Tuesday, Mitroo police said.

The victim (S), of Chah Dhoraywala, was going home after school when Riaz and Rashid forcibly took her to a deserted place where Riaz raped her. The accused fled when ‘S’ raised hue and cry.

Mitroo police have registered a case and started investigation.

PROTEST: The Shabab-i-Milli protested here on Tuesday outside the press club against US drone attacks in the settled and tribal areas in the NWFP.

Vehari Shabab-i-Milli President Ali Waqas Hinjra addressed the participants. He criticised military operations in Bajaur and Swat, and said the use of force was diminishing the prospects of political solution to the issue. He said the Shabab-i-Milli would begin a country-wide campaign against the government in the country soon.—Correspondent
