Labourers injured in roof collapse

LAHORE, Nov 23: Three labours were injured in a roof collapse incident near Gujrati Hotel on Ghazi Road on Sunday.

Rescue 1122 officials said victims identified as Raza, Mubarik and Adil were working on an under-construction roof of a house when it caved in, leaving them trapped under the debris. They were taken to the Lahore General Hospital.

FIRE: Valuables worth thousands were reduced to ashes when a fire broke out in a house in E-Block of Model Town early on Sunday. Rescue 1122 fire-fighters extinguished the fire.

ROBBERY: Robbers looted cash and jewellery from a couple in Hunjarwal on Sunday.

Police said two robbers waylaid Azam Ali and his wife and snatched Rs23,500, two ear-rings and a cell phone.

Three robbers snatched Rs28,000 and a gold chain from Aamir Shahzad in Shafeeqabad, while two others deprived Abdul Rehman of Rs10,000 and two cell phones in Ravi Road area.

Two robbers stopped Muhammad Ameer in Samanabad and took away his motorcycle (LEQ-1763). — Staff Reporter
