LAHORE, Nov 22: The Save Judiciary Committee (SJC) on Saturday set up a protest camp on the premises of the Lahore High Court Bar Association for the restoration of deposed chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry and release of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.
SJC convener Abdur Rashid Qureshi said the rule of law was absent from the country and an independent judiciary was the need of the hour. He said the government, according to its promise, should immediately reinstate the deposed CJP and release Dr Qadeer to honour the people of Pakistan. — Staff Reporter
