HYDERABAD, Nov 22: Successful candidates for the post of deputy district attorney staged a protest demonstration on sessions court premises here on Saturday, demanding their posting orders.They said that they had been waiting for posting orders since March after passing Sindh Public Service Commission examinations. Ms Roshan advocate said that the SPSC had recommended to the law department the names of 162 candidates for the BPS-17 posts and those of 18 for BPS-19 posts.

She claimed that they were issued job offer letters in March and May but since then they had been waiting for posting. She added that four additional prosecutors-general and 12 district public prosecutors had been given posting orders.

The protesting candidates said that they were getting frustrated and some of them were so desperate that they were thinking of committing self-immolation in front of the grave of Ms Benazir Bhutto.

ARREST: The Hatri police arrested two alleged criminals with unlicensed weapons on Friday night.

According to a police statement, Naseer Unnar and Manzoor Unnar are members of a gang of hardened criminals and wanted by Nawabshah and Naushahro Feroze police in the cases of kidnapping for ransom.

A team of investigators is interrogating them.
