UMERKOT, Nov 22: The district health department organised a walk here on Saturday to create awareness about polio among the masses.

The walk started from EDO health office and culminated at the local press club. DCO Ghulam Akbar Leghari, EDO Health Dr Umer Rind, EDO Revenue Fareed Junejo, DO sports and a large number of lady health workers, notables and citizens attended the walk.

Speaking on the occasion, the DCO said that it was our duty to save our children from polio and urged the parents to administer polio drops to their children. He said that people should not pay heed to the misperceptions about polio drops. The EDO health said that 155,671 children will be administered polio and vitamin-A drops in 27 UCs for which 542 vaccination teams have been constituted.
