QUETTA, Nov 21: Balochistan Assembly Speaker Aslam Bhootani congratulated deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhary on Friday for getting life membership of the New York City Bar and the Medal of Freedom of the Harvard Law School.
He said that accolades for Justice Iftikhar were a great honour for the people of Balochistan because he belonged to the province.
The speaker said that Justice Iftikhar received the award and the medal because he refused to bow down before a military dictator.
Balochistan Bar Council vice-chairman Jamal Mandokhel said awarding of freedom medal and life membership to Justice Iftikhar was a great honour for the people of Pakistan.
