KARACHI, May 11: Chinese investors have shown keen interest in various development projects including transport, improvement of coastal areas, water sports, dolphin parks, construction of low- cost houses and development of Katchi Abadis.

The China Gongdong Xingguang Group, led by its resident officer Mr Yuan Min Gzui, expressed its interest in various projects, during a meeting with city Nazim Naimatullah Khan here on Saturday.

The Nazim thanked the delegation for its interest and said that being an old friend of Pakistan China was already working on various mega projects in the county such as the Gawadar port and the coal mines in Thar.

He said that due to its ideal location Karachi would soon become an important city of the region with rich opportunities and investment potential.

The delegation also showed interest in solid waste management and recycling of sewerage water and water treatment plants.—PPI
