Aluminium coins of Re1, Rs2 issued

KARACHI, Nov 20: The State Bank announced on Thursday issuing aluminium coins in Re1 and Rs2 denomination.

The design and diameter of the coins are the same as of the existing coins.

The federal cabinet has already approved the denomination, dimension, design and composition of the new coins.

The Re1 coin is in white colour with a diameter of 20mm and net weight of 1.75grams.

The Rs2 coin has the same metal composition and colour with a diameter of 22.5mm with net weight of 2.6grams.

The existing coins of Re1 and Rs2 will continue to be in circulation.
