SANGHAR, Nov 20: Armed assailants gunned down two men reportedly over an old enmity over a piece of plot in Shahdadpur on Thursday.

Reports reaching here said that the assailants who allegedly belonged to Rind clan came on motorcycles and fired on Shar Bahadur Rud and Shoukat when they were sitting at Café Islam.

Shar died on the spot while Shoukat Rud died on his way to hospital.

Enraged armed men of Rud clan arrived at the murder place and started firing in the air to vent their anger.

Later, they blocked the road and held a sit-in in front of taluka hospital, demanding immediate arrest of the culprits.

Rud and Rind clan have been fighting over a piece of plot for several years.

No FIR was lodged till the filing of this report.
