Tainted liquor

VEHARI, Nov 17: A youth died and six others were hospitalised on Sunday night after taking poisonous liquor at Chak 42-WB in Sadar police precincts.

Reports said six friends took liquor at the outhouse of Zafar Iqbal and fell unconscious. Zafar, 22, died before any first aid. Others had been hospitalised in various rural areas private clinics till the filing of the report.

Private doctors and other paramedical staff were not telling names of the victims.—Correspondent
