NAROWAL, Nov 13: The Narowal police on Thursday arrested two culprits who had killed a boy kidnapped for ransom when his father reported the matter to the police.

Reports said that Mohsin Khan, 14, of Manzoorpura Polt village was kidnapped by five unidentified people when he was returning from his school on Nov 5.

The kidnappers later demanded Rs500,000 for the release of boy from his father Afzal Khan, who had come to meet his family from Saudi Arabia.

Afzal paid Rs100,000 to the abductors, but they demanded more money. Afzal reported the matter to the Noor Kot police who traced the culprits with the help of their phone calls they made for the remaining ransom amount.

On Thursday, the police raided the hideout of culprits and arrested Qasim and Bilal Khan of Manzoorpura Polt village, but by that time they had killed the boy.

SHO Muhammad Ashraf Baryar said the police had also recovered boy’s body from a ditch in a nearby graveyard. He further said that Rs65,000 were also recovered from the arrested culprits.
